FAQ:
The SAKURA ART PRIZE are developed to award the outstanding artists worldwide.

There are 3 different ways to participate or to be involved:
1. Artist & Gallery: Nomination [info+]
2. Artists and Galleries: Art Fair Participation - The Tokyo International Art Fair [info+]
3. Sponsors and Partners: Support the Awards and gain international recognition of your brand worldwide through global press and prominently promote your brand during the Shanghai International Art Fair, press, TV, Radio, and Newspapers. [info+]
Important information:
- All nominees and art exhibition submissions are subject to a curators process - see jury.
- This is an online competition with the winners announced live from Tokyo International Art Fair 2025
- Finalists/Winners will be announced in October 2025 by the Jury.
- The Tokyo International Art Fair will be the host of the announcement of the Sakura Art Prize 2025.
- The Jury has the final decision.
- Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash prize.

CONTEST RULES
1.1 The Sakura Art Prize 2025 will be announced live from Tokyo in November 2025 and is open to artists and galleries worldwide. The awards is an online competition - it will be held parallel to the Tokyo International Art Fair 2025 and everyone is welcome to attend, although it is not mandatory. If you are interested in exhibiting, in person, online or digital please go to the website and apply before August 2025. www.tokyoartfair.com
1.2. 1st Round is nominations - closing on 1st September 2025. The shortlisted Finalists will be announced in October 2025. The Jury will reveal the shortlisted candidates will then be announced from the top 100 most voted artists that are nominated. The finalists will be judged by the jury panel who will attend the event and announce who the true winners are at the Sakura Art Prize ceremony attended by the government of Tokyo amongst the rich and famous, and press such as TV and Radio. Our system is fire-walled against bought votes - which is restricted and risk disqualification.
1.3 You can enter in as many categories or as many artworks as you wish to submit. You will have to enter again and pay the fee for each artwork and each category.
1.3 Entries must be the original unaided work of the entrant.
1.4 All online entries are subject to an entry and selection process.
1.5 Work will be considered using the following criteria - artistic sensitivity, technical skill, originality, visual impact and content.
1.6 All nomination entries has a participation fee. Non-refundable.
1.7 The jury decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
1.8 The Sakura Art Prize reserve the right to publish reproductions of the entries in the press, on television or on their websites for promotional purposes. The winners must agree to images of their art being used by The Sakura Art Prize and the prize sponsors for any promotional and marketing purposes. The artist retains copyright to the artwork.
1.9 Winners of each category will receive The Sakura Art Prize Certificate. Winners will be announced at the ceremony attended by international press, TV, Radio, and elite guests, amongst famous people in the industry. If the winner cannot attend the Awards, everything will be communicated by email. Winner will receive an intensive PR and Marketing promotional boost, amongst a title for life to claim as Best Sakura Art Prize Tokyo 2025. No cash prizes will be given.
2.0 All prizes include press, promotion, interview, certificate award, opportunity to exhibit digitally next edition TIAF and announcement on social media.
2.1. Each participant can apply for more than one category.
2.2 The awarded winners will be announced live in Tokyo in a luxury venue at the Tokyo International Art Fair.
2.3 Shortlisted artists can book to attend the Awards Ceremony. (Optional as it is not mandatory to attend in person)
2.4. The Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence shall be entered into. The winner will be advised by telephone immediately after judging takes place.
2.5. The announcement of the prize winner will be made at The Sakura Art Prize in Tokyo, parallel to the Tokyo International Art Fair 2025.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS 2025
Deadline : October 2025 (To get nominated we recommend that you submit online ASAP. Since the earlier you submit the longer you have to gain votes, and also to receive press attention.)
1.1 The Sakura Art Prize is an online competition and is open to all artists and galleries worldwide. Visitors from all over the world are able to attend (although majority is reserved for Sponsors and Partners). Sponsors and Partners from all over the world are able to request Sponsorship packages and work together.
1.2 The Sakura Art Prize for each category are open to participants that are nominated. And will be judged by the jury panel who will attend the event.
1.3 Entries must be the original unaided work of the entrant.
1.4 All online entries are subject to an entry and selection process.
1.5 Work will be considered using the following criteria - artistic sensitivity, technical skill, originality, visual impact and content.
1.6 All nomination entries have a participation fee. Non-refundable.

1.9 Winners of each category will receive Sakura Art Prize Award. Winners will be announced on the Gala Ceremony. If winner cannot attend the Gala, the award will be send by postage (shipping costs not included). Prizes cannot be exchanged for money. Winner will receive free Facebook & Social Media Promo, A large feature in Catalogue together with other winners. Featured on the Website, and a homepage slide if participating, Interview on our Blog. No money can be given as exchange.
2.0 All prizes include press, promotion, interview, trophy award and announcement on social media.
2.1. Each participant can apply for more than one category.
2.2 The awarded winners will be announced live at the event, and published on the website thereafter.
2.3 Short listed artist will receive an invitation to the Awards Ceremony. Invitation don't include seat for the Award Ceremony. Optional.
2.4. An independent judging panel will be comprised of independent arts specialists.
2.5. The Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence shall be entered into. The winner will be advised by telephone immediately after judging takes place.
2.6. The announcement of the prize winner will be made at the event.
2.7. Being nominated or announced as a finalist does not automatically include free invitation to the ceremony.
2.8 By submitting information, checking the “I Agree” checkbox at the time of submitting your nomination and/or executing this agreement, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement (as amended from time to time by the Organizer Sakura Art Prize in their sole and absolute discretion). if you do not wish to be bound by this agreement, do not indicate your acceptance and do not submit nomination. By continuing and submitting whether for nomination, exhibition, being part as a guest or as a partner following a change to this agreement, you are accepting and agreeing to the change.
By accepting the terms and agreement by checking the "I Agree" checkbox upon application, you are committed to a legally binding agreement with Sakura Art Prize and agree to the terms laid out in this contract in regards to the Sakura Art Prize. Payments made are non-refundable. Prizes cannot be exchanged for money.

2.9 The Organiser has the right to modify any details and information of the event, including dates of the event and details on the website. The Organizer cannot be held liable when any modifications and or changes of event details and of website information (even through the cause of third party) have occurred.
2.10 Deadline : October 2025 (might close sooner due to limited availability) All payments made are non-refundable.
2.11 APPLICATION AND SELECTION - The Organizer, with the help of an advisory committee, will select exhibitors for the showcase. The advisory committee studies all applications for The Global Art Awards Exhibition and reserves the right to approve or not approve the exhibitor. The committee also reserves the right to refuse some of the proposed artists and, if these artists are exhibited during the Art Fair, to remove the non-valid works of art.
2.12 THE Sakura Art Prize CEREMONY is online and also during the Tokyo International Art Fair on 29th November 2025.
2.13 The prizes are non negotiable. The exhibition opportunity for the next TIAF edition is digital display or online. Upgrades possible.
3.0 LIABILITY
3.1 The Sakura Art Prize and third parties cannot be held liable for any expenses incurred, nor for any accidents, damages or theft that might happen on the premises of the event.
4.2 The person that is responsible to any damage accidental or on purpose to the venue, or to the exhibition walls or to material provided by The Sakura Art Prize will be held liable, and will be charged for the damages.
4.3 Exhibitors are responsible for third party liability risks and have to be insured against third party liability risks.
4.4 The Sakura Art Prize is not responsible for damage arising at the event caused by the public, exhibitors, contractors, volunteers or third party and cannot be held liable. Entering the event at the The Sakura Art Prize Tokyo Art Fair.
4.5 The Organisers ‘The Sakura Art Prize’ cannot be held responsible for any loss, theft or damage to exhibitors work or personal possessions. Any claims for personal injury or damage to property by third parties or employees cannot be made to the organisers or third party.
4.6 No nails, screws or other fixtures may be driven into any part of the building structure including floors. Care should be taken to avoid any damage to any part of the building. Should any such damage or disfigurement occur, the Exhibitor shall be liable for any reparation charges incurred.
5.0 PRIZES AND PAYMENTS
5.1 Payments are non-refundable. Prizes are not able to be exchanged for cash prizes.
5.2 Prize includes a award posted to you or collected. Winners prize also include Digital Art Exhibition at the next event. You can also switch to a physical art fair participation in negotiation with the fair directors. Depending on availability.
5.3 The Exhibitor agrees that all exhibit fees related to exhibiting at the Event, or any other amounts owed to the Organiser, must be paid to the Organiser prior to the Exhibitor’s setting up at the Event and before the payment deadline. In the event that the Exhibitor fails to pay any or all such fees in accordance with payment deadlines, the Organiser reserves the right to reassign or cancel the Exhibitor’s Space. In the event that Exhibitor pays the exhibit fees after such reassignment, the Organiser may, in its sole discretion, assign such other exhibit Space, if then available, which the Organiser deems appropriate. The Exhibitor remains liable for payment of all previously agreed fees.
5.4 Any other costs involved are the responsibility of the exhibitor, such as materials, packaging artwork, accommodation, flights, transport, insurance, printing of limited edition artwork, and other costs that might be needed.
6.0 GENERAL CONDITIONS
6.1 Entries must be the original unaided work of the entrant.
6.2 All online entries are subject to an entry and selection process.
6.3 Work will be considered using the following criteria - artistic sensitivity, technical skill, originality, visual impact and content.
6.4 Online entries are $ 25 EUR to be submitted.
6.5 The jury decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6.6 The Organisers Sakura Art Prize reserve the right to publish reproductions of the entries in the press, on television or on their websites for promotional purposes. The winners must agree to images of their art being used by Global Art Agency and the prize sponsors for any promotional and marketing purposes. The artist retains copyright to the artwork.
6.7 Winners of 1st prize will receive free Digital Art Showcase participation at the next event. Winners will receive a personal invitation by email. If winner cannot take part at next event no money can be given as exchange. And no other art event can be considered as free participation. Winner will receive free DAS exhibition space, plus free Facebook & Social Media Promo, A large feature in Catalogue together with other winners. Featured on the Website, and a homepage slide if participating, Interview on our Blog. No money can be given as exchange.
7.0 POSTPONEMENT OR ABANDONMENT
7.1 The Exhibitor shall have no claim against the Organisers in respect of any loss or damage consequential upon the prevention, postponement or abandonment of the Event. If in the opinion of the Organisers, re-arrangement or postponement of the period of the Event, or by substitution of another hall or building or by any other reasonable manner the Event can be carried through, the contract for stand space shall be binding upon the parties, except as to size and position of stands, as to which any modifications, substitutions or re-arrangement they consider necessary shall be determined by the Organisers.
8.0 INDEMNITY
8.1 You agree to indemnify us against any claim or demand, including reasonable lawyers’ fees, made by any third party due to or arising in any way.
9.0 CONTRACTUAL LIMITATION
9.1 Where we provide Goods without specific charge, then it (or they) is deemed to be provided free of charge, and not to be associated with any other service for which a charge is made. Accordingly, there is no contractual nor other obligation upon us in respect of any such goods.
10.0 RIGHTS OF THIRD PARTIES
10.1 Nothing in this agreement or on our website shall confer on any third party any benefit under the provisions of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
11.0 SEVERABILITY
11.1 If any of these terms is at any time held by any jurisdiction to be void, invalid or unenforceable, then it shall be treated as changed or reduced, only to the extent minimally necessary to bring it within the laws of that jurisdiction and to prevent it from being void and it shall be binding in that changed or reduced form. Subject to that, each provision shall be interpreted as severable and shall not in any way affect any other of these terms.
12.0 NO WAIVER
18.1 No waiver by us, in exercising any right, power or provision hereunder shall operate as a waiver of any other right or of that same right at a future time; nor shall any delay in exercise of any power or right be interpreted as a waiver.
13.0 DISPUTE RESOLUTION
19.1 In the event of a dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or any contract between you and us, then you agree to attempt to settle the dispute by engaging in good faith with us in a process of mediation before commencing arbitration or litigation.
14.0 FORCE MAJEURE
14.1 We are not liable for any breach of our obligations resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, and cannot be held liable for unexpected or uncontrollable events, including power cuts, strikes of our own employees, pandemics, or weather affecting circumstances.
15.0 GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
15.1 These Terms and Conditions and any contract included shall be governed by the laws of United Arab Emirates.
16.0 FINAL STIPULATION
16.1 The Organizers are entitled to undertake, without notice of default and without judicial mediation, at the expense of the Participant, one or more of the following measures against any Participant acting in violation of the stipulations of the ‘Terms and Conditions of Participation’ or refusing to abide by instructions issued by or on behalf of the Organizers: - to deny the person in question access to the The Sakura Art Prize Exhibition by the Organizer with immediate effect; to have his/her stand closed and/or cleared; to retain the exhibited works; without entitling the Participant to claim any restitution or compensation for damages.
16.2 The Participant bears liability for and must be adequately insured against all damages of any kind whatsoeverincurred as a result of action or negligence on the part of him/herself, of his/her staff, of persons working for him/her or on his/her behalf in any capacity whatsoever, and/or of holders of participant passes and/or admission passes.
16.3 The Organizers bear no liability for damages for any cause whatsoever to artworks or persons incurred as a result of or in connection with participation in The Sakura Art Prize Exhibition. Neither do the Organizers bear any liability for damages to third parties incurred as a result of the use of the stand by the Participant or his/her staff. The Participant shall indemnify the Organizers against claims by third parties in this regard.
16.4 If at any time after entering into the Participation Agreement, the Organizers have well-founded reasons to fear that participation in The Global Art Awards Exhibition might be the cause of harm, in any way, to the Organizers, The Global Art Awards Exhibition or other Participants, the Organizers are entitled to dissolve the Participation Agreement. The Participant, in this event, remains entirely liable for the full Participation Costs as well as other expenses incurred by the Organizers at his/her request in connection with his/her participation.
16.5 Organizers are not liable for the non-fulfilment, in whole or in part, of commitments related to participation in the The Sakura Art Prize Tokyo Art Fair as a result of Force Majeure.
